Industrial production in Serbia increased by 3.2% year-on-year in September 2026, rebounding from a 0.5% decline in August and posting its strongest growth since April. The upturn was driven primarily by manufacturing, which expanded by 5.1% after a 1.8% drop in the previous month.

In contrast, growth in mining and quarrying slowed sharply to 0.6%, down from 6.7% in August, while output in electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning supply fell by 7.2%, reversing 0.8% growth recorded a month earlier.

By main industrial groupings, output increased in energy (1.9% vs 0.8% in August), capital goods (16.1% vs 0.1%), and non-durable consumer goods (5.0% vs -0.5%). However, production declined further in durable consumer goods (-13.4% vs -12.1%) and in intermediate goods excluding energy (-1.4% vs -1.3%).

On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial production rose by 2.4% in September, recovering from a 0.6% decrease in August. Over the period January–September 2026, total industrial output was 0.5% higher than in the same period a year earlier.
